My final piece as a BYU student: next week, I graduate! For this story, I met with a former chaplain who directs Utah County’s Re-Entry Assistance Program. They help rehabilitate former inmates and provide housing, counseling, aid for getting a job and paperwork, etc. But this new project could fund the entire program, rendering it completely independent. The challenge: getting it off the ground.

Video was a bit of a challenge for this one, because it’s so data-based and the ranch doesn’t really exist yet (well, there’s a big plot of land out in the middle of nowhere, but that’s about it). We had to think outside the box and Mr Green was kind enough to meet me at a local ranch to discuss his project. I was also amazed at how many former inmates were so willing to talk to me – once again, I wish I had more time to tell all of their stories.
